Wedding Photo Crystals: Your Wedding Photo Engraved Inside Glass
A wedding photo crystal is a 3D photo in a crystal made from your own wedding photograph, laser-engraved inside a solid block of K9 optical crystal, built from up to 15 million individual points of light so the image appears to float in the middle of the glass. You send the photo, and if you'd like to see your crystal before we make it, tick the preview box when you order — it's free, we'll email it within 24 hours, and nothing is engraved until you're happy with it. Free text engraving, background removal and free UK delivery are included in the price.
We make every one ourselves in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire — over 15,000 crystals in four years, and 500+ Excellent Trustpilot reviews.
Who these are usually bought for
Most wedding photo crystals we make are one of four things: a first anniversary gift for a husband or wife who's never seen the wedding photo printed anywhere; a 15th anniversary gift, because crystal is the traditional 15th wedding anniversary gift; a present for the bride's mum or dad from the top-table photo; or a gift for a best friend who was chief bridesmaid, made from a photo she's already got on her phone.
They're also the one wedding gift that doesn't duplicate. Two couples can buy the same crystal shape and end up with two completely different objects, because the photo inside is different.
Which shape suits a wedding photo?
This decision matters more with wedding photography than with any other kind of photo, because wedding albums are full of wide shots.
- Rectangles, from £59.99 — the safe choice for group shots, wedding party line-ups and full-length dress photos. The extra width keeps faces big enough to hold detail. See the rectangle crystals.
- Hearts, from £69.99 — made for a close-up of two faces filling the frame. The confetti shot, the first kiss, foreheads together. Browse the heart crystals.
- Cubes, from £40 — one or two people, waist up. Compact enough for a desk. See the crystal cubes.
- Keyrings, necklaces and 2D ornaments, from £39.99 — small enough to carry, and a straightforward option for bridesmaids or for a dad who won't display things.
Every price includes the 3D conversion, engraved text, background removal and free UK delivery. Compare the shapes across the anniversary crystal range or the full collection.
Do I need the professional photographer's files?
No. Any clear phone photo works, including a screenshot from the photographer's online gallery and a photo of a printed photo from the album. We remove the background as part of the job, so a cluttered marquee or a car park behind you isn't a problem.
What we can't do is invent detail that isn't there. If you send a photo taken from the back of the church of forty guests, the faces won't be large enough to read in a small crystal — that's why we'd steer you to a rectangle. Tick the preview box when you order and you'll see exactly how it looks before anything is engraved. The how it's made page walks through the whole process.
The preview, and why it exists
Engraving is permanent, so we don't guess. If you'd like to see your crystal before we make it, tick the preview box when you order. It's free, we'll email it within 24 hours, and nothing is engraved until you're happy with it. You reply yes, or you tell us to change the crop, the shape or the wording, and we do it again. Only then does it go to the laser.
If the crystal arrives and it isn't right, you get a full no-quibble refund — no hoops, no questions. Every order goes through the same process and gets the same care, whether it's a £39.99 keyring or a rectangle for a golden wedding.
Timing it for an anniversary
Free UK delivery is 2–3 working days as standard, and 24-hour delivery is available as a paid option at checkout. If you have asked for a preview, the one thing that slows an order down is that preview email sitting unopened, so if the date is tight, keep an eye on your inbox — including the junk folder.
Questions we get asked
Can you make a crystal from my wedding photo?
Yes. Upload the photo when you order and we convert it to a 3D model for engraving inside the crystal. If you'd like to see it before we make it, tick the preview box when you order — it's free, we'll email it within 24 hours, and nothing is engraved until you're happy with it.
What is the traditional 15th wedding anniversary gift?
Crystal. That's why a wedding photo crystal is such a common 15th anniversary present — it meets the tradition and carries the couple's own wedding photograph rather than being a generic ornament.
Which crystal is best for a group wedding photo?
A rectangle. Wide group shots spread faces across the frame, and a rectangle gives each face enough space to keep its detail. Hearts and cubes work best when one or two faces fill most of the picture.
Can you remove someone or something from the background?
Background removal is included on every order as standard, so scenery and clutter behind the subject come out. If you need something more specific changed, ask us when you order and we'll tell you honestly whether it's possible.
Can I have our names and wedding date engraved?
Yes, free text engraving is included. Names, the date, an anniversary number or a short line of your own. If you tick the preview box when you order, it shows on your free preview so you can check every letter before we engrave.
How quickly can it arrive?
Free UK delivery is 2–3 working days as standard, with 24-hour delivery available as a paid option at checkout. If you asked for a preview, approving it promptly is what keeps the order moving.
Where are they made?
In our own studio in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We've made over 15,000 crystals in four years of trading and every one is made in-house.
What happens if I'm not happy with it?
You get a full no-quibble refund — no hoops, no questions. Most issues never reach that stage because they're caught at the preview. Anything else you want to check is covered on our FAQs page.
