A small heart of optical glass with your photograph engraved inside it, fixed to a leather keyring. This is the one people carry rather than display — it comes out of a pocket or a handbag a dozen times a day.

The image is engraved beneath the surface of the crystal rather than printed on it, so there is nothing sitting on the outside to wear away against keys and coins. On a keyring that matters more than it does on a shelf.

Made to order in our Cambridgeshire workshop and sent out in a gift box.

Questions we get asked

Will a photo off my phone work?
Usually, yes. What matters is that the face is sharp and reasonably well lit — megapixels barely come into it. A charm this size suits one face best; a group shot loses too much detail at this scale.

Do I see it before it is engraved?
Yes. Once you have ordered, we lay the photograph out and email you a proof. Nothing goes into the glass until you have told us you are happy with it.

Will it get scratched?
The image is inside the crystal, so keys cannot reach it. The outside is optical glass and will pick up marks eventually, as anything on a keyring does.
